The Chemistry, Materials and Constructive Systems group is led by the Fibres-Energivie competitiveness cluster and its steering committee.

The committee brings together project owners, project managers, manufacturers, professional organizations, technical centers and representatives from the academic world. Its mission is to focus on themes of interest to the sector, and to share initiatives concerning current and future changes in the construction industry.

Since its creation, the steering committee has also organized a number of events as part of the cluster's activities. These include a Journée Rencontre de l'Innovation in Strasbourg in 2019, focusing on innovation in building materials and systems, participation in the Build & Connect conference in 2020, and a webinar and Journée Rencontre laboratoires-entreprises in Nancy in 2021 on collaborative research and innovation projects around the theme of prefabrication and off-site construction.
